I have some great art to share! Thanks to Cat Chat with Caren and Cody I got to read about this great book of cat art!
Fat Cat Art by Svetlana Petrova, is a “marriage of runaway internet sensation and classical art.” (THINK Internet meme meets classical art). It features her twenty-two-pound, ginger-colored cat, Zarathustra (Petrova swears that Zarathustra does NOT eat a lot and IS on a diet), superimposed into some of the greatest artworks of all time. Petrova’s paintings are an internet sensation! (This statement came from Cat Chat!)
Here is some of the art:
Salvador Dali, Persistence of Cat’s Memory
Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, True Version
Grant Wood, Ameri-Cat Gothic, I can has cheezburger?
James Abbott McNeill Whistler, Arrangement in Grey, Black and Ginger.
Whistler’s Mother with the Cat
Jacques-Louis David, Napoleon Crossing the Alps
