A VCR.
Just a bunch mechanical things I had no idea what they were. It wasn’t working and I thought I could fix it. I was wrong. 
Had one of these, too! It’s a tape rewinder in case you didn’t know!!! When you rented a tape and didn’t rewind it your account was charged a small fee!
I had this collection, too! Star Trek the Next Generation on tape! Loved it!!

I remember VHS days. We still have tons of tapes around here. Hopefully some day we’ll be able to get the home-made tapes (childbirth, birthdays, etc.) transferred to a digital format. We still have a VHS player, but it is inconsistently working, so we don’t trust it with those special tapes.
