Weekly Weather Sunshower

cover

This week’s topic is Sunshower (a meteorological phenomenon in which rain falls while the sun is shining. A sunshower is usually the result of accompanying winds associated with a rain storm sometimes miles away, blowing the airborne raindrops into an area where there are no clouds. Hence, a sunshower. Sometimes a sunshower is created when a single rain cloud passes overhead, and the Sun’s angle keeps the sunlight from being obstructed by overhead clouds.)

Weekly Weather: Pick Your Own

For this round of Weekly Weather I decided to go small with my collages. I love having a big canvas to work with but there’s the problem of storage. I have boxes and boxes of artwork and I’m tired of toting it around whenever I move. So I’ve changed my focus to small packing tags. This has made me change my focus, or perspective. Think small!!

5-3/4 x 2-1/2 tags, easier storage and binding, cover for this book

This first challenge is “Pick Your Own” and I chose Winter – maybe because it’s so cold outside!!0107 pyo a

Each topic will have a two page spread, because one page is not enough! How they look together:

Weekly Weather: Night

This is the final selection in the 2nd round of Weekly Weather for 2017. I have used an atlas for this round of collages. My plan is to bind them together and hope to do it sometime soon. The first round of Weekly Weather for 2018 will start next week and I’m going to do something different – still collages but a different size.

This last topic is Night (the period of darkness in each twenty-four hours; the time from sunset to sunrise).

Weekly Weather: Humid

For this round of Weekly Weather collages I decided to do another atlas as my base. However, the pages/signatures came apart from the binding so I’ll be doing each two page spread separately and when I come to the end of the year or when we start repeating the weather topics, I’ll bind them all together.

It’s now close to the end of the year and I’ve begun thinking about binding these pages. I’ll keep you posted as to my progress!

This week’s topic is Humid (containing or characterized by perceptible moisture especially to the point of being oppressive).

Weekly Weather: Wet

For this round of Weekly Weather collages I decided to do another atlas as my base. However, the pages/signatures came apart from the binding so I’ll be doing each two page spread separately and when I come to the end of the year or when we start repeating the weather topics, I’ll bind them all together.

This week’s topic is Wet (consisting of, containing, covered with, or soaked with liquid (such as water)).
